Guilin Pharma celebrated the 7th World Malaria Day in Africa
April 25th 2014, the 7th World Malaria Day, the field team of Guilin Pharma participated different celebrations in African countries to advocate the global efforts to control malaria, and to eliminate this old epidemic disease in the near future.

Uganda – Double Bonanza in two days
World Malaria Day – Uganda has been celebrated with grand success.
Mr. Yogesh – Country Manager and Team-Uganda celebrated World Malaria Day in two days in different – different places, means this time World Malaria Day 2014 was double bonanza for us. Mainly because, with our participation to MOH for world Malaria Day, we got an opportunity to portray Guilin Pharma Stall in two places....
1) World Malaria Day 2014 Scientific Colloquium held at Hotel Metropole, Kampala.
2) World Malaria Day final celebration held at Kasambya (Mubende District).
On the first day 24th-April.14, Scientific Colloquium was organized by NMCP-MOH in Hotel Metropole, Kampala in which Doctors & Professors from Makarere University, Dr. Lugemwa Myers (NMCP), Dr. Edridah Muheki (Asst. Commissioner, Health Services, Vector Borne Disease), Dr. Charles Sezi (Senior Consultant Physician (RTD)), Dr. W. Aalemu (a representative from WHO) were present.
On this occasion many Doctors and officers of Govt. Bodies visited to our stall and appreciated our arrangements. Also, we got an opportunity of 10 min. presentation, followed by Q/A session from participants. Guilin Pharma took this opportunity to show presentation of Guilin Pharma about its commitments and efforts to eradicate malaria. During Q/A round he has answered all questions asked by participants, related to price, availability in public & private market, and training programs.
On the second day -25th-April.14, World Malaria Day 2014 was celebrated in Kasambya, Mubende Dist. This grand ceremony was honored with the presence of....
1) Hon. Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi (The Vice President of Republic of Uganda),
2) Dr. Ruhankana Rugunda (Minister of Health, Uganda),
3) Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng (Director Gen. Health Services, MOH)
All above VIPs visited our stall and asked about our participation in malaria eradication. Mr. Yogesh took this opportunity to showcase our product portfolio on their request. Also, He with DGHS Dr. Aceng, informed Hon. VP about our Artesun inj. & its availability in NMS. Mr. Yogesh expressed that it was one of the memorable days in life as talking to Hon. VP. Uganda. He makes all of them aware about corporate image of Guilin Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. on this occasion.
Excellent brand visibilities have been observed during the event, which will leads to good PR & corporate image.
Tanzania – Celebration with unique rapport building activity.
On the occasion of this year’s World Malaria Day, Guilin’s Tanzania team joined hands with MOH, NMCP- Tanzania, and became a part of Malaria Safe Company in 2014 .
The mega event was celebrated in Kilimanjaro Hyatt Hotel – Dar es Salaam on 25th April.14. During the event Team Guilin, used unique ways to get closer to Artesun key customers- Doctors, Pharmacists, Government officials and other participants. We explored our action in productive discussions with all participants, about USPs of Artesun inj. with Literatures (LBLs, Posters) & Distributed Artesun’ pens, pads etc.
The most precious moment was the visit of Dr. Seif Rashid – Honorable Health Minister along with Dr. Mohamed Ali Mohamed- Head NMCP –Tanzania, at our exhibition stall and his discussions about Artesun inj.’ s availability& acceptability in Tanzania. Team was able to explain successfully all their queries related to Artesun inj. in Tanzania.
Guilin Pharma has been recognized well through this event. Excellent brand visibility and response has been noticed across the day. The organizers has given special thanks and ‘Certificate of Recognition ‘ to Guilin Pharma for active contribution to make Malaria Day event successful by all means !!. We have also shown our commitment to fight against Malaria along with Tanzania Malaria Safe Initiatives.
Burkina Faso - the Commemorative Ceremony of World Malaria Day
This year the celebration of the World malaria in Burkina Faso took place on 12th May at Koudougou (a city located around 100 km away from the capital city Ouagadougou).
This commemorative ceremony knew the presence of the highest sanitary authorities of the country, among which the Minister of Health, Mr Léné SEBGO was accompanied with the minister of Social Action and the National Solidarity, Dr Alain ZOUBGA, as well as technical and financial partners, together with the head of the WHO Burkina Faso office, Dr Djamila CABRAL.
Pharmaceutical companies committed in the fight against the malaria were also present (GUILIN PHARMA, SANOFI, SD BIOLINE).
Popular cross, cycle race, recreational activities of learning with pupils, sketches of raising awareness, exhibition stands, speeches and the reward of the best sanitary districts of the country constituted the key points of this day.
In their various speeches, both the Minister for Health and the head of the WHO, took the commitment to pursue and to support the fight against Malaria, which stays in spite of all the efforts, the 1st cause of consultations, hospitalizations and deaths in Burkina Faso
